Diablos Swept; Losing Streak Reaches Seven

May 30, 2010 Lincoln, NE – El Paso’s losing streak reached seven after they lost 8-2 to the Lincoln Saltdogs at
Haymarket Park on Sunday night.  After starting their nine game road trip with two wins at Shreveport, the Diablos
proceeded to lose their next seven straight, losing all six games in the northern cities.

El Paso once again was put in an early hole that they couldn’t pull out of.  Lincoln struck for four runs in the
first on just two hits and were helped by two Diablos errors.  The Saltdogs led all 27 innings of the three game
series.  Lincoln made the game 5-0 in the third inning when a wild pitch brought in a run, and capped off their
scoring by added three runs in the sixth inning.  El Paso finally broke through for runs in the eighth inning. 
With two outs Mike Provencher doubled in two runs.  Mike’s hit brought to an end an 18 inning scoreless drought
for the Diablos.

Leonard Landeros (0-2) got the start and worked five innings giving up four earned runs to take the loss.  He
issued five walks as the Diablos pitching staff went on to issue seven walks to go along with two hit batters in
the game.  El Paso handed out 15 free passes to the Saltdogs over the three game series.

The Diablos offense managed only five hits.  Matt Imwalle went 2-3 to lead the offense.  Mike Provencher went 1-3
with his two RBI double.  For the series, Provencher ended up going 6-11 with two doubles and three RBI.

El Paso takes Memorial Day off before returning home on Tuesday.  They kick off a six game home stand with three
games against Shreveport.  Tuesday is Bud Light Lime a la Mexicana as fans can get a Bud Light Lime and three tacos
for only three dollars.  Fans can also look in the El Paso Times for coupons for buy one get one free tickets.
