EL PASO, TX – Former Diablo Catcher Eddy Rodriguez has been sold to the San Diego Padres. Rodriguez becomes the eighth American Association player sold to a major league organization since the end of the 2010 season. Rodriguez joined the Diablos in 2009.

Staehely Signs With Italian Baseball League

EL PASO, Tx. – Christian Staehely, a former Diablo pitcher, signs with the Italian Baseball League club T&A San Marino. Staehely joins the Titans following his season pitching in El Paso. The right-handed pitcher is 6-3 in 41 games with a 4.16 ERA. He has 72 strikeouts, 32 walks, and 72 hits in 69 innings pitched.

Diablos to Hold Local Tryouts

The El Paso Diablos will be holding local tryouts on Saturday and Sunday, March 19th and 20th, 2011 at the EPCC baseball field. Players wanting to tryout must be over 18 years of age and be a high school graduate.
